On 2012 she moved to Budapest, Hungary, where she studied dentistry at Semmelweis university. She gained her degree is dental surgery graduating with highest honours \u201csumma cum laude and a GPA of 4.2 . Having completed 5 years with distinction she showed an early interest in the field of oral surgery and implantology thus completing her diploma dissertation on the oral and maxillofacial department of Semmelweis University themed \u201cimplant placement in the esthetic zone\u201d which she successfully presented\u00a0with honors. She then returned to her hometown Athens where her interest in oral surgery was further developed while daily observing on the dental clinic of Dr Zamparas as well as the deparment of tissue regeneration in Hygeia hospital. During this year she realized her engrossment lied particularly in the field of full mouth rehabilitation, and guided bone regeneration. To further broaden her knowledge in that field she participated as a speaker in various conferences in Greece.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In June 2018 she travelled to New York, USA where she received her post graduate training in Oral Surgery in the prestigious New York University, school of dentistry. There she was given the opportunity to develop her practical skills in surgical and non-surgical extractions of third molars, implant placement, sinus augmentation, and guided bone regeneration. Being trained by exceptionally skillful and admirable professors she realized further the importance of\u00a0bone augmentation when it comes to implant placement. During this time in NYU she had the opportunity to interact with numerous patients every day, thus being able to train her skills in patient management, while practicing not only in the emergency clinic of NYU but also in Governor Hospital in the heart of New York. Besides the practical training, she had the chance to develop a further interest in the field of dental research. She participated in the annual NYU research day with research topic \u201cGuided bone regeneration with three different grafting materials in 82 patients\u201d where she received the first award, supervised by Dr Jesse Doscer, and Dr Huzefa Talib.<\/p>\n

In the effort of further broadening her knowledge in the field of guided bone regeneration she started a research in cooperation with the New York University biomaterial and biomimetics department, and the Dental school of Athens with topic \u201cGuided bone regeneration with three different grafting materials in 32 patients- Randomized Trial\u201d<\/p>\n

During her time abroad, she participated in international conferences including \u201cthe osteology foundation- Barcelona, Spain \u201cand AO in Seattle, USA with topic \u201cimmediate implant placement, type of grafting material\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2020 she moved back to Athens as a dental surgeon at Zab implant specialists as well as Hygeia Hospital. There she gets the opportunity of learning and developing her skills in the field of Oral implantology and tissue augmentation from the 30-year experience of Dr Zambaras, Dr Bouboulis, and Dr Spanos. She has realized the importance of not only being a good dental practitioner but above all being human, and giving patients their smile back.<\/p>\n
